Wintec’s sports laboratories are accredited with Sport Science New Zealand and are considered to be amongst the best sport science facilities in New Zealand. You’ll have leading practitioners as tutors and will be working with specialists and current athletes to complete your research. You’ll also have access to fully equipped laboratories and the same state-of-the-art sport testing and consulting used by national and international athletes.

Graduate Opportunities

The Bachelor of Sport and Exercise (Honours) may lead to employment as a tertiary teacher, in research and sport consultancy and more specialised roles in sport science at regional and national level.

Upon completion of this programme further tertiary study at Masters or Doctorate level can be undertaken.

Entry criteria

• Bachelor of Sport and Exercise Science, with a grade average of B or better in the final year of full-time study (or equivalent in part-time study), and
• Grade of B or better in the third year research project (or equivalent), or
• Equivalent undergraduate degree

English language requirements:
IELTS: 6.5, TOEFL IBT 79, TOEFL PBT score of 590 or Pearson score of 58.
