Programme Overview
Performing Arts at Whitireia is known for its dynamic performances and a commitment to maintaining Aotearoa New Zealand and Pacific heritage dance. The first two years of the Bachelor of Creativity (Performing Arts) provide a strong base in 毛利, Samoa, Cook Islands and New Zealand contemporary dance performance, with students developing strengths in technique, performance and choreography. In the third year, students build on the knowledge they have acquired to create and perform an original body of work.
Programme Outline
This Performing Arts major of the Bachelor of Creativity combines core courses with specialist Performing Arts courses. Subjects in the Performing Arts specialisation cover the following topics:
