This two year programme for international students provides a sound background in early childhood education with an embedded English component to assist students meet degree IELTS level.

Studies consist of five broad content strands:

• Educational Studies in Human Development and Learning
• General Education Studies
• Curriculum Studies
• Professional Development
• Teaching Experience

Participants are given a range of practical teaching experiences over the two years of the programme.

Entry criteria

High school education equivalent to NCEA Level 3. IELTS 5.5 (no band lower than 5.0)
