Summary

This programme will teach you the language skills required to communicate with assistance, in basic, familiar, everyday situations in order to participate in an English language environment.

Learning environment

In a supportive environment you will begin to use everyday expressions and basic phrases in routine social interactions to initiate and respond to short routine social interactions. You will read, understand and write simple texts.

Academic requirements:

Academic Requirement for entry into the New Zealand Certificate in English Language Level 1 is

• the New Zealand Certificate in English Language (Foundation) (Level 1)
• or equivalent

Note: International applicants must also comply with Immigration NZ requirements.
