International students are required to meet the minimum English language requirements for this level programme

The delivery team may require applicants to be able to demonstrate the appropriate tenacity, initiative and motivation required to successfully study in this programme as part of the entry process. These attributes may be assessed at the orientation/counselling session. Information may be gathered as to the applicant’s aspirations, goals, prior educational experience and prior work history.

Orientation/counselling sessions will be contextualisation specific. The guidance and support of Whanau, family members or support people is encouraged at this session. The suitability of the programme to meet the applicant’s needs may be established through an initial literacy and numeracy assessment.
