Summary

The one-semester Certificate in Business gives you an introduction to the main areas involved in studying business. This paper introduces you to a range of business and academic skills, as well as the literacy and numeracy skills you need to study at degree level. After successfully completing the certificate you can apply for the Bachelor of Business.

What This Qualification Covers?

The certificate consists of the BUSS401 - Introductory Business Studies which is worth 60 points. You gain knowledge and skills in business disciplines, preparing you for study in the Bachelor of Business.

Entry criteria

Completion of Year 13 or equivalent.

English Language Requirements:

IELTS (Academic) score of 5.5 overall with all bands 5 or higher; Certificate in English for Academic Study (CertEAS) with C/C+ grade; TOEFL iBT score of 70; GIE with C+ grade; CAE minimum overall score of 162; PTE minimum overall score of 42.

Selection criteria

Preference will be given to applicants who have at least 50 NCEA level 3 credits and have met the literacy and numeracy requirements for University Entrance or equivalent
