Summary

IELTS Level One: The programme develops students’ reading, writing, speaking and listening skills for IELTS and includes IELTS examination practice. There is also a strong focus on developing students’ general English grammar and vocabulary. Entry Level: IELTS 5 (no band less than 4.5) or successful completion of 4 weeks of Intermediate or higher, or acceptable level on AUT IH placement test. IELTS Level Two: The programme develops students’ language skills for IELTS and study skills for academic study. The programme focuses on developing English grammar and vocabulary and some introductory research skills. Examination practice is also included. Entry Level: IELTS 5.5 (Writing band 5.0, no other band less than 4.5) or successful completion of Intermediate 2 or higher or acceptable level on AUT IH placement test.
