Summary

These qualifications are designed for students who want to gain a postgraduate qualification in stages, with the flexibility to return to complete the Master of Business. You study papers in a specialist business discipline, including accounting, business information systems, economics, finance, human resource management and employment relations, international business, management (including entrepreneurship and sustainability), marketing and sport and recreation management.

STRUCTURE

To graduate with a Postgraduate Diploma in Business you must successfully complete 120 points from the Master of Business papers, subject to satisfying prerequisite requirements.

A graduate of the Postgraduate Diploma in Business will be able to:

a. Demonstrate advanced knowledge and understanding of business in a specialised field. (Knowledge/Understanding)

b. Demonstrate intellectual independence using a range of analytical and critical skills. (Personal/Intellectual Autonomy)

c. Demonstrate capability to consider relevant social, ethical, environmental and sustainability dimensions of decisions in business contexts (Ethical/Professional Dispositions)

d. Demonstrate critical thinking, in depth analytical skills and sophisticated problem solving strategies. (Inquiry/Research/Creativity)

e. Demonstrate analytical, critical thinking and problem solving skills applied to business contexts. (Skills/Application)

Entry criteria

Completed one of the following or equivalent with a B grade average or higher in all relevant prerequisite papers in the selected subject area:

• Bachelor of Business OR
• Graduate Diploma in Business OR
• Relevant professional qualification approved by the dean (or representative) to be equivalent to a bachelor's degree

English Language requirements:

Minimum IELTS (Academic) score of 6.5 overall with all bands 6.0 or higher; TOEFL iBT score of 90; Certificate in English for Academic Study (CertEAS) with A grade; GIE with B+ grade; CAE minimum overall score of 176; PTE minimum overall score of 58.
