Summary

This qualification is embedded in the Master of Computer and Information Sciences and is coursework based. Graduates will have advanced knowledge and skills within a specialist field of computer and information sciences and advanced analytical, planning and critical thinking skills. They may progress to further study at master's level.

Structure

Most papers last one semester and are worth 15 points. Students must complete 120 points in total. Students take one compulsory Research Methods paper. The remaining papers will be chosen from the discipline clusters below:

• Information Systems and Technology
• Software Systems Engineering

Entry criteria

Applicants must have completed: Bachelor of Computer and Information Sciences or equivalent; or the Graduate Diploma in Computer and Information Sciences or equivalent or a relevant professional qualification or professional experience approved by the dean (or representative) to be equivalent to a bachelor’s degree.

English Language requirements:

Minimum IELTS (Academic) score of 6.5 overall with all bands 6.0 or higher; TOEFL iBT score of 90; Certificate in English for Academic Study (CertEAS) with A grade; GIE with B+ grade; CAE minimum overall score of 176; PTE minimum overall score of 58.
