WHAT IS IT LIKE?

Postgraduate Diplomas often provide education training in specialist disciplines and involve taught courses, although often a project may be included.

The Postgraduate Diploma in Veterinary Science is a course of study open to graduates or those who have been able to demonstrate extensive practical, professional, or scholarly experience of an appropriate kind. It consists of a coherent programme of not less than one year full-time study (or its equivalent in part-time study).

Courses or other work prescribed shall be at an advanced level that builds on attainment in the academic field of the prior degree.

Postgraduate Diploma in Veterinary Science (Veterinary Public Health) structure

You will follow a flexible course of study, which shall consist of courses totalling at least 120 credits of courses at 700-level or above.

Requirements

Time limits for completion for eligibility for Distinction or Merit

Your 120 credit postgraduate diploma will carry the award of Distinction, if completed at a superior standard (equivalent to First Class Honours), or Merit (equivalent to Second Class Honours, Division One) if completed within one year of first enrolling in full-time study or within three years of first enrolling in part-time study.

Maximum time to completion

All requirements must be completed within four years of first enrolling in the Postgraduate Diploma in Veterinary Science.

Entry criteria

Admission to the Postgraduate Diploma in Veterinary Science requires you to have a Bachelor of Veterinary Science, or an equivalent qualification.

English language requirements:

• IELTS score of 6.5 (no band less than 6.0)
• TOEFL iBT score of 90 overall (min 20 in Writing)
• PTE Academic score of 58 Overall (min 50 in communicative skills)
• Cambridge English score of 180
