Summary
The Master of Science (MSc) programme enables you to pursue advanced study in your area of interest with the opportunity to work on independent research.
Programme overview
Studying for an MSc is an opportunity for committed scientists to focus on a relevant area of interest or practise and pursue an advanced qualification. While taught masters will provide you with specialist training in your chosen field, a research masters will develop advanced research skills, working alongside Faculty of Science researchers - many of whom are major contributors in their field.
Biosecurity and Conservation
The postgraduate programmes in Biosecurity and Conservation offer advanced training for graduates and biosecurity practitioners who wish to learn more about invasion biology and the science behind current biosecurity issues. Graduates will be equipped to understand and protect the natural environment (both terrestrial and aquatic) from biosecurity threats. The programmes cover a range of topics including new discoveries in contemporary environmental and life sciences and their translation into tools for prevention and management of invasive species. The programmes will also offer networking opportunities for students to meet practitioners and leaders from the biosecurity sector and related research areas. Postgraduate research in this area is also supported by the Joint Graduate School in Biodiversity and Biosecurity.
