Programme overview

The Postgraduate Diploma in Fine Arts (PGDipFA) gives you the opportunity to integrate studio practice with critical studies. You will work on your own studio-based research projects, developing your practice to its full potential, and expand your understanding of contemporary art forms in their various cultural contexts.

The PGDipFA may be suitable for people who have a degree in another discipline and have maintained a professional artistic practice for some time.

You will develop a year-long project that culminates in a substantial work or exhibition, complemented by a piece of critical writing related to your investigation throughout the year.

Entry criteria

You must have completed an undergraduate degree in the field of fine arts or visual arts at a recognised university (or similar institution). You will need a GPE of 5.0 in your final year of study.

English language requirements:

IELTS 6.5; TOEFL (iBT) 90; TOEFL (paper-based) 575; CAE or CPE 176; PTE 58; MELAB 85.
