Summary
The Postgraduate Diploma in Science (PGDipSci) is an opportunity for Bachelor of Science graduates to advance their qualifications.

The Postgraduate Diploma (PGDipSci) and the taught Master of Science (MSc) in Clinical Exercise Physiology provide courses and practical training in the application of exercise to people with a range of health conditions.
The training is focused on prescribing exercise rehabilitation to individuals with cardiac, pulmonary and neurological conditions, arthritis and chronic back pain, and post-surgery.
In addition to course work, each student will be required to gain practical hours in the Health and Performance Clinics located on the Tāmaki Innovation Campus.
Requirements:
90 points: EXERSCI 703, 705, 710, 712 and 771 and 772
30 points from approved 700 level courses in the Faculty of Science or the Faculty of Medical and Health Sciences.
Suggested elective courses are: EXERSCI 706, 708, 713, 715 (recommended for students planning on the MSc in Clinical Exercise Physiology), MEDSCI 712 & 725, HLTHPSYC 714 & POPHLTH 739.
This postgraduate diploma programme prepares students for entry to the taught MSc in Clinical Exercise Physiology programme.

Entry criteria
The prerequisite is a major in Exercise Sciences, Sport and Exercise Science or an equivalent qualification and EXERSCI 302 or equivalent, as approved by the Head of Department.
English language requirements: IELTS 6.5; TOEFL (iBT) 90; TOEFL (paper-based) 575; CAE or CPE 176; PTE 58; MELAB 85.
