Summary

The Bachelor of Engineering with Honours (BE(Hons)) is a four-year undergraduate professional degree with a focus on digital-based technology. You'll build a solid grounding in mathematics and science through the design and implementation of real-world systems.

Gain the knowledge and skills to design and build exciting technology like autonomous robots, smartphone applications and computer games. Imagine and create new systems that are more energy efficient, safer and easier to use.

You'll also get training in project management, entrepreneurship, ethics and sustainability and get the chance to put your skills into practice through research and development projects. You'll have opportunities to work with industry throughout your time at university.

And when you graduate with your BE(Hons) you'll have a degree that is recognised all over the world, because it has full accreditation from the Institute of Professional Engineers New Zealand (IPENZ).

Software Engineering

Learn to design, implement and maintain complex computer systems. Build and programme software systems that not only solve a problem, but are also efficient, robust and reliable. Graduate with the technical and communication skills to be a leader in the field of modern programming.

Within the Software Engineering major you can choose to specialise in Networked Applications.

Entry criteria

To be accepted into this degree you need:

Achievement of the International Baccalaureate Diploma
Successful completion of the All-India Senior School Certificate (AISSC) with an average of 75 per cent or higher overall
Successful completion of the India School Certificate (ISC) with an average of 75 per cent or higher overall

Other English Language requirements:

IELTS: minimum overall score of 6.0 with no sub-score below 5.5
TOEFL: minimum overall score of 80 (internet-based test)
Pearson Test of English: minimum score of 58 (with a 'Communicative score' of not less than 50)
EPP: minimum final scores of 4,4,4,3
A grade of 65% or higher in English in the AISSC or ISC.
