Summary

The Bachelor of Science is a three-year undergraduate degree designed to inspire you and provide the skills and knowledge you need to work in one of the many exciting fields of science. Study the science of life. Find out how living organisms evolved, how they grow, where they live and how they function. This major will give you a broad grounding in the biological sciences. Learn about cell biology, plant biology, animal biology and statistics, and go on to specialise in areas like flora and fauna, genetics or biochemistry.

Course Structure

For this degree you'll need to:

Complete at least 360 points, of which:

• At least 270 points must be from courses listed for the BSc
• At least 210 points must be from 200 and 300-level courses, including:
• At least 150 points must be from courses listed for the BSc
• At least 75 points must be from 300-level courses listed for the BSc

Courses listed for other degrees may be counted as being BSc courses, including:

• A maximum of 30 points if taken to satisfy a BSc major
• A maximum of 30 points if taken to satisfy a second major from another first degree at this university
• A maximum of 60 points across both these categories
• Complete one course in MATH, PHYS, QUAN, STAT (or an approved equivalent) at any level
• Complete one approved course that demonstrates competency in oral and written communications

Entry criteria

To be accepted into this degree you need:

• Achievement of the International Baccalaureate Diploma
• Successful completion of the All-India Senior School Certificate (AISSC) with an average of 75 per cent or higher overall
• Successful completion of the India School Certificate (ISC) with an average of 75 per cent or higher overall

Other English Language requirements:

• TOEFL: minimum overall score of 80 (internet-based test)
• Pearson Test of English: minimum score of 58 (with a 'Communicative score' of not less than 50)
• EPP: minimum final scores of 4,4,4,3
• A grade of 65% or higher in English in the AISSC or ISC.
