Summary

Lincoln University's Certificate in University Studies is a unique qualification that prepares students for further study, leading them into a degree programme. Taught over one semester you will learn language, writing and study skills in preparation for further study as well as communication and technology, mathematics, economics and environments, within the context of a specialist land-based university. On successful completion you can transfer to the Diploma in University Studies and on to a bachelor's degree.

• Must pass four compulsory courses

Entry criteria

Applicants must meet one of the following:

• 58 NCEA credits at Level 2 or higher (including 30 credits over three approved subjects plus UE literacy and numeracy)
• A Lincoln First Level 3 qualification
• Other pathways.

They should also have obtained an IELTS score of 5.0 overall, with no individual component less than 5.0; TOEFL iBT overall score of 35 (with at least 14 in writing); overall CAE and FCE score of 154, with no individual component less than 154; PTE of 36 overall score - with no communicative skill less than 36; Lincoln University English Language of LU EL 55%; NZCEL of Level 3 (General, Workplace or Academic Endorsement).
