Summary

The programme recognises the need for graduates to possess applied skills in recreation management together with skills in critical thinking and demonstrated academic competency. Lincoln University's programmes in recreation management have an established track record of meeting the demands of many professional, industrial and employer agencies. The Lincoln Graduate Certificate in Recreation Management prepares students for entry into a wide range of careers in the public, commercial and voluntary sectors relating to parks, outdoor leadership, tourism, sport management and community recreation.

Summary of Regulations
The Graduate Diploma in Recreation Management requires 120 credits with a minimum of 75 credits at 300 level. The remaining credits, including not more than 15 credits at 100 level, may be chosen from the Schedule of Courses.

Entry criteria

Completion of an undergraduate degree from an accredited higher education institution in New Zealand, or an approved equivalent status (ad eundem statum). They should also have obtained an overall CAE score of 176, with no individual component less than 169; PTE of 58 overall score - with no communicative skill less than 50; Lincoln University English Language of GCAE or LU EL 70%; NZCEL of Level 5 (Academic or Professional Endorsement).
