Summary

Lincoln University's Postgraduate Diploma in Horticultural Science provides an opportunity for graduates from a range of backgrounds to study in the area of horticultural production, processing, marketing, science and research. The horticultural industry is an essential part of New Zealand's economy. To remain competitive, New Zealand horticulture must respond to the requirements of international markets for quality products.

What the sector needs is the entry of a new generation of motivated, highly competent, skilled and knowledgeable individuals to achieve the anticipated increased export earnings. Lincoln University is involved in many international research projects and this research is incorporated into the teaching programme.

Summary of Regulations
• Pass 120 credits in total from the schedule to the regulations of the relevant masters degree.

Entry criteria

Applicants must have a relevant degree with at least a B- grade average in the 300 level and final year (full-time equivalent) courses.

They should also have obtained an overall CAE and FCE score of 176, with no individual component less than 169; PTE of 58 overall score - with no communicative skill less than 50; Lincoln University English Language of GCAE or LU EL 70%; NZCEL of Level 5 (Academic or Professional Endorsement).
