Programme overview
You will complete a set of core courses. These include an exciting two course sequence in Business and Enterprise. These will introduce the types of choices facing entrepreneurs and managers and help you develop your academic and professional skills.
Your first year core programme will provide a strong base from which to launch into your chosen major or majors. A double major will enable you to gain greater breadth and increase your career options by combining two sets of courses at advanced level.

Programme structure
The BCom offers Economics as a single major or as a double major alongside one of the other majors offered within the BCom. You can also study the Bachelor of Commerce in Economics as part of a conjoint degree programme where you study for two degrees at once.
A BCom with a single major is a three-year degree programme. You will be required to complete a minimum of 24 courses (360 points). A set of seven compulsory core courses (105 points) in your first year of study will become the building blocks for your degree. With careful planning you can complete a double major.

GCE ‘A’ Level requirements apply to ‘A’ Level qualifications examined by bodies such as AQA, OCR, Edexcel, WJEC, CCEA, Pearson Education Limited and CIE taken outside of New Zealand.
