Summary
For all current health professionals and those with a relevant undergraduate degree wishing to pursue postgraduate study in a health-related field.
This programme covers a broad range of subjects that will cater for all interests, allowing a generic personalised programme of study.
The Postgraduate Diploma in Health Sciences (PGDipHSc) in Mental Health Nursing is aimed at practitioners entering mental health nursing as well as those experienced in mental health nursing practice. There are courses for practitioners in their first year of practice, and for those preparing for advanced practice and nurse practitioner roles.
This specialisation is offered by the School of Nursing. Courses in this specialisation are offered in a Flexible learning format.

NURSING 777 - Advanced Mental Health Nursing in its Social Context (30 Points)
NURSING 781 - Psychological Interventions in Nursing and Health Care (30 Points)
NURSING 782 - Research Methods in Nursing and Health (30 Points)
NURSPRAC 718 - Contemporary Mental Health and Addictions Nursing Practice (30 Points)

Entry criteria
You must have completed an undergraduate degree at a recognised university (or similar institution) in a health-related discipline such as health sciences, medicine, nursing, optometry, pharmacy, psychology, or social work. You will need a Grade Point Average (GPA) or Grade Point Equivalent (GPE) of at least 2.5.
English language requirements:
IELTS 6.5; TOEFL (iBT) 90; TOEFL (paper-based) 575; CAE or CPE 176; PTE 58; MELAB 85.
