Broaden your career horizons with advanced undergraduate study in science gain skills and knowledge in a new subject area.

Study a new subject and enhance your career prospects by completing a 120-point GDipSc. You'll effectively gain an extra major in a different science discipline to the major you did in your Bachelor's degree. It offers you the opportunity to explore a new area from the large number of Science majors listed on this page.

Or if you're already working in the industry, the Graduate Diploma will enhance your knowledge of the most recent developments in your area of interest.

The GDipSc can be completed in two trimesters when studied full time, or in up to four years if you're studying part time. However, you may also be required to do preparatory studies and then your study would take longer.

The GDipSc also prepares you for study at postgraduate level, such as the Bachelor of Science with Honours or the Master of Science.

Entry criteria

Bachelor's degree or equivalent. You may also be required to demonstrate your proficiency in English.

Other English Language requirements:

• IELTS overall band of 6.5, no sub-score below 6.0; or
• TOEFL 90 on the internet-based test with at least 20 in writing; or
• A minimum of two ratings of 5 and two ratings of 4 in the Victoria University English Proficiency Programme test
• Pearson Test of English: A score of 65 (with a ‘Communicative’ score of not less than 58).
