Course details
Summary
If you love the beauty of cars, this could be the career choice for you. Not only will you learn how to repair, replace and align car body parts, you will also develop painting and finishing techniques that can transform a vehicle into a work of art.
This qualification will prepare you for the industry by highlighting the appropriate policies, procedures and regulations for working safely and efficiently in an automotive panel-beating or refinishing workshop. It covers the technology and systems within a vehicle and how to avoid damaging them, plus the effect of impact on vehicles.
You will also learn how to use the tools to prepare and paint panels as well as enhance your knowledge of bodywork construction methods and materials.
Upon graduation you will be ready to work as an apprentice in the collision repair industry.
